Child Protection Policy
SwimWorld will ensure all staff supervising or coaching children
(and vulnerable adults) have already been Police Checked or provided
a satisfactory CRB Disclosure, and are trained in order to recognise
the symptoms of possible abuse.
Staff will investigate changes in children’s behaviour and
in accordance with the Children Act, and local authority guidelines,
liaise with outside agencies if abuse of any kind is suspected. SwimWorld
will welcome children who are on the Social Services ‘at risk
register’ and provide support.
The company and all its staff must take all reasonable steps to protect
children from harm, discrimination or degrading treatment and will
respect children’s rights, wishes and feelings. We offer a coordinated
approach to sessions and activities.
Any suspicions or allegations of abuse must be taken seriously and
be responded to quickly and appropriately
SwimWorld along with all its staff recognise their responsibilities
under the terms of the Race Relations Act 1976, Sex Discrimination
Act 1975 and the Disability Discrimination Act 1996. All children,
whatever their age, culture, disability, gender, language, racial origin,
religious beliefs and or sexual identity have the right to be protected

Equal Opportunities Policy
As an Organisation that provides a range of services from swimming
tuition for babies to adults, as well as lifeguard and other industry
training,
SwimWorld is committed to the principal of equal opportunities.
Everyone will be treated with respect and their individuality acknowledged
taking positive account of their gender, religion, ethnic and cultural
origin, age social background and abilities.
Each person will be valued as an individual without racial or gender
stereotyping. We will, wherever possible, take account of individual
customs, values and beliefs, and utilise equipment/materials that help
to promote anti-racist and anti-sexist behaviour.
We encourage all participants to develop a well-grounded sense of
their own value and worth and that of others.
Every person has the right to participate in an activity regardless
of any disability or special need they may have, and if appropriate
additional adaptive equipment will be provided alongside the regular
equipment that is suitable for everyone, including those with a disability
or special need.
SwimWorld will not tolerate any discrimination or prejudice at its
venues. All personnel will promote positive attitudes and behaviours.
